(explication en français au fond)
Ghana undertook a major change of telephone
numbers throughout the country in 2010. Parallel running of old
and new numbers ended 2010‑08‑01. Fixed numbers served by Zain/Bharti Airtel
(numbers of the form +233 3X 7XX.XXXX)
and mobile numbers with 9 digits following +233
(+233 AB XXX.XXXX, where AB=20,23,24,26,27,28,54)
are not affected. However, all GTC/Vodafone fixed numbers have had
one to three digits prefixed to the subscriber number, to a total
of 7 digits, and in most cases the area code also changed.
The end result is a harmonised numbering scheme in which the
area code or mobile code is uniformly 2 digits, and the subscriber
number is uniformly 7 digits. The new numbering scheme also provides
abundant capacity for expansion in both fixed and
mobile numbers.
The tables below provide the details of the migration of
GTC/Vodafone landline numbers. The numbers in parentheses after
the new area code are the digits prefixed to the old subscriber
number. For example, in Accra, +233 21 XXX.XXX is now
+233 30 2XX.XXXX. In Akim Oda, +233 882 XXXX
is now +233 34 292.XXXX. Within Ghana, replace the
"+233" country code with the "0" trunk code to
form the new 10-digit domestic telephone number.

numéro d'abonné a uniformément 7 chiffres.
Table 2 répertorie les
numéros dans l'ordre alphabétique par ville.
